The challenge

An augmented‑reality startup, Meta before Meta was Meta, with good seed money and three months to look like a company worth more of it. The work ran across Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects as one integrated pipeline, and the pieces had to move between them without anything falling out along the way.

The craft

The producer had been on set; I had the recordings and the transcripts. Shaping a finished story out of that is more than picking lines. It is checking whether the musicality carries from one phrase to the next. We ran color‑coded scripts so both of us could see what still needed addressing, and annotated markers in Frame.io that either of us could drop straight onto a spot in the current cut.

That is asynchronous editorial done properly. If the producer is technical, it flies; if they are not, I bring them along and the content still gets stronger every pass.

Red footage, so I cut on proxies and finished high res, Premiere handing off to After Effects and back. Integrated solo workflow reduces post‑production costs.

The deliverables

A run of YouTube segments, business‑to‑business and public‑facing, placed behind simple ads that drove viewers to the site. They did recruiting work too: the company wanted engineers as much as it wanted funding.
